Please visit my TES shop to read customer reviews of other similar resources. ***FULL PACK*** to teach the ‘Communicating Information and Ideas’ section of the OCR GCSE English Language course. This pack uses the subject of the Columbine Massacre in 1999 to engage and enthuse the students. I have already used this pack with my own group and they found it really interesting. Please note: this pack enables students to work on the skills needed but only includes 20th century sources for the simple reason that only 20th century sources are relevant for this topic (in the exam students will have texts from 19th, 20th and 21st centuries). Includes; -21 page student booklet with various texts about the crime and a range of exam activities (both reading and writing). - 21 page power point presentation with tasks -Teacher notes Note: there is an AQA version of this resource available at my TES shop.

This seller donates to charity. WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. For NQT’s and anyone who wants to make their marking totally easy, focused, productive and user- friendly for both themselves and their students. Say goodbye to arduous pointless marking. This resource contains 15 very detailed breakdowns of the requirements at each level for EACH of the individual assessment objectives for both paper 1 and paper 2 of the 2016 AQA GCSE English Language course. These have been carefully designed so that you can just highlight students’ levels rather than laboriously annotate work thereby cutting down on both marking time, and stress. The marking sheets can also be used for very productive self or peer assessment by students. I have had excellent feedback from those who have used these resources thus far. Please visit my TES shop to browse a range of resources for the new AQA GCSE English Language course. Contents: complete separate student- friendly marking sheets for each learning objective; PAPER 1 (Writer’s viewpoints and perspectives) AO1 Identify and interpret AO2 Explain and analyse language and structure AO3 Comparing texts AO4 Evaluate texts critically There is also a separate document just for structure. PAPER 2 (Explorations in creative reading and writing) AO1 Summarising AO2 Language Analysis AO3 Comparing Two texts AO5 Writing: content and organisation AO6 Writing: technical accuracy Please do browse my other resources and contact me directly with any queries. This will also help you break down your planning especially if you are an NQT- nothing wrong with taking an assessment objective at a time. Happy marking :) DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE MY OWN PERSONAL INTERPRETATIONS OF THE MARK SCHEME. OFFICIAL MARK SCHEMES AVAILABLE AT AQA.ORG.UK
